Default Should we reclaim this newsgroup or go for a rec.travel.air.moderated?

All:

I have been a lurker and poster to this newsgroup for about 10 years. I
post with the same Name (Dennis G. Rears) from my work address
and my home address drears@runningpage.*. Specifics clouded
to avoid spambots. This NG has degraded to political discussions that have
had very little to do with r.t.a. They might be very important topics; but
not about recreational air travel. There are in my opinion only two ways to
stop this: (1) A Moderated group or (2) self-discipline.
R.T.A is about recreational air traffic. Let's abort everything else. I
want to see teh Bill Mattocks, etc post and read.
Aside from responding to this message, I ask the posters to r.t.a to
refrain from responding to mesages that are not r.t.a. related.
Should we have a moderated newsgroup?

dennis

r.t.a. related I got a EWR-DEN--CLE-EWR over the Memorial Day weekend for
only $222.00 on CO.

This is a rec.* group and I suspect you have no idea how
difficult that would be.

Way to much money to see Cleveland But I know someone that got
OAK-JFK-OAK for about that price for that weekend.

What is needed is a few people to moderate. I personally couldn't commit
myself to this as the very nature of my work means I may away from home a
few weeks at a time.
It may also be wise to post this discussion to alt.config to get some useful
(if abusive) feedback.

Nomen/Starwars/Edo, etc has plenty of time to moderate. It seems like he
has a special way of dealing with people he doesn't like

Once the group is formed you face the problem of getting people
to actually use it. I certainly am unlikely to do so.
