It is allowed in bars, at least the ones I go to.
Also it is allowed in restaurants with outdoor eating areas.
Basically the rule seems to be: no smoking indoors except pubs.
And definitely no throwing the butts on the ground outdoors.

same in London , no butts to be cast away , they are non biodegadeable .
80 pounds fine for offenders

Can someone tell me about smoking in Singapore?
Is it allowed anywhere? Restaurants? Walking down the street? etc?

If you see a sign nearby that said no smoking sign, that means no
smoking. If you don't see it nearby, do feel free to smoke, and incase
somebody asked you, just say that you don't see the sign.

Generally, smoking in outdoor area is pretty much allowed in most
places.

But if a person nearby asked you on not to smoke, do be kind and
follow his or her wishes, what ever age he or she is.

THis may sound like an idiotic question but I do
not want to get in trouble on a coming business
trip to Singapore!

Thanks for any information and guidance!

Before you do things, it might be best to check out on how the locals
are doing things.

Anyway. Do try to avoid some of one of those 'smoking rooms',
especially if they don't provide good exhaust. I have once go inside
one of those rooms in Terminal 2 of Changi Airport, and I think that
they intentionally clogged the exhaust.

You intentionally inhale deadly poisonous smoke
and you are worried about Singapore?

Er... Since when does smoking a cigarette is a deadly way to inhale
poisonous smoke? It's nothing more poisonous than drink a glass a
water, a glass of water can be quite hazardous if your body can't
handle water or can't handle too much water. Anyone here want to
deliver 5 gallons of sandworm poison to Arrakis?

Each person's body has its own needs and things to avoid, it's not the
same for every person. That's why each person tend to have his own way
of smoking and what kind of things they like to smoke.

There is an outdoor smoking area in T2, behind the fitness centre opposite
the transit hotel.
It has a nice garden of sunflowers which seems to be surviving the large
crowd of heavy smokers.

You should behave exactly the same way you behave anywhere else in the
world.

That is, do not smoke anywhere where your smoke might cause illness or
discomfort to any other person, unless that person is an adult who has
freely and explicitly consented to it without any pressure from you or
anyone else.
