Default Ye Ole Fare-Reducing/ Out-of Bizness/ Over-Crowded Paradox

It's nuthin newly insightful, and I am posting this because I think some would
be interested in a/the lead/first story on the public tv broadcasting system

Tonight on television:

Expert George Novak of George Washington Univ

on the pbs newshour pbs.com

says that the lowered fares may or may not eventually pay-off for Delta etal
(if they can hold-on for a year or so) in the longgg run

simultaneously predicts that a couple of major carriers may go out-of-business
within a year or two (he's unclear when this would occur, but i got the
impression of within two years)

he advises consumers to book & enjoy & take advantage while the fares are
unusally low (not all the flight's seats will be discounted, he says)

sees a future of eventual higher fares for many airline patrons in the smaller
markets when there won't be the competitive fare situations as there are now

he says that the major airlines are desperately counting-on/hoping-for many
more customers to cause a bigger volume of travelers

another dilemma: imho/in my limited experiences, the airport/air travel is too
darn overly-burdened & crowded already, i dislike waiting in the lines as it
now is
