Default Heaters on a Balcony

A good suggestion for Princess would be to put a wall heater, with a timer,
out on each balcony. That would make it much more appealing for such cold
weather cruises. The timer would turn the electric heater off automatically
if anyone forgets to turn it off manually. However, this may be all it takes
to bring the balcony cabins up a notch. For summer and warm weather cruises,
no problem. But why sail with somewhat useless balconies, when the problem
could be easily resolved.

My experience was just the opposite - we used it a lot in Alaska,
occasionally in Hawaii, and hardly at all on the Mexican Riviera.

Alaska was fairly warm, for Alaska, and Mexico was blasting hot.

I agree with Marcia - having a balcony helps prevent claustrophobia.

We normally take an inside cabin so that isn't a problem for us. I
would like to have a balcony for Alaska if/when I get to do that
cruise.
