That depends entirely on what activities interest you.

Thank-you. Very helpful. If I were going to New York, I would like to see
the Statue of Liberty. That is because I know it is there. I do not know
anything about Phuket - and have found there are often more interesting
things of a general nature than are promoted through the glossy brochures.
I hope that explanation helps you grasp the meaning behind such a difficult
question.

Phuket has a lot to offer, but one man's treat is another man's
garbage. To use your analogy, I could name several "not to miss"
Broadway shows, only to find out that you hate the theatre. I could
name several "not to miss" restaurants, only to find out you're a
strict vegetarian and won't eat at any of them.

So I'll say again, it depends entirely on what interests you. Give us
something to work with, and the recommendations you get are likely to
be much more useful for you.

But I have to ask - if you know nothing about Phuket, why did you book
travel and accomodation to the island?

It was a cheap package tour - somewhere to go that I have never been. My
interests are general. And while theatres and restaurants are ok - I'm
damned if I need to travel to another country to see such facilities. That
is not to say that if I was in Broadway I wouldn't bother going to a
musical - 'cos I would. I just thought there may be something particularly
special. Every location has its 'highlights'.
