Canadian flag on the backback myth

message ... I am not Canadian or American, in this issue I have no vested interest, but note that "and the rockets red glare the bombs bursting in air gave proof through the night that our flag was still there" Set to the tune, written in 1777, by Englishman John Stafford Smith. It was originally a setting to the poem 'The Anacreon in Heaven' a favourite of the London drinking club called the Anacreontic Society. By 1820 at least 84 other poems and songs were being sung to that same melody;-). What national anthem says the only reason they know they exist is that people are shooting at them, not a lot has changed, except the number of people who shoot at them the travel web and the hoteliers both have vested interests in misrepresenting any disgust they may have with their customer base, anecdotal evidence suggests otherwise --multiplaza.nl.nu-- |
