Default affordable motel/B&B in Keys West or Key Largo around Christmas

Dear all,

We are a budget travellers and are planning to be in Florida this
winter from 25th Dec. till 3rd Jan. Can anyone recommend an affordable
motel/B&B in Keys West or Keys Largo for a night's stay around 30th
December ? Most places seem to hike up their rate a lot around that
time of the year and also have a 3-4 nights minimum stay requirement.
A clean room is all we need . We don't need sea view, pool etc. etc.
Any help will be really really appreciated.

Best,

Anirban.

There used to be a place in Key West, on Duval St. called "Heartbreak
Hotel". But believe me you wouldn't want to stay there if you were
planning on committing suicide! Hallways had broken beer bottles strewn
throughout, bed linens were replaced with even dirtier linens. It wasn't
missed by anyone when it finally went under. You have elected to visit
the Florida Keys during High Season. To the best of my knowledge you
aren't going to find anything decent

I have found two campground listings, but I cannot guarantee that they
still exist. Jabour's one of Key West's RV and Mobile Home park has been
gentrified and the lot now has upscale condos.

Here are those listings. Check them out for yourself.

At Boyd's an inland cabin will go for $100.00 per night.

Traveloge Motel Dec 24, 25 check-out AM on 26 is $125.00 per night.
Merlin Inn - 1 Room Available at $159.00 per night.

Perhaps you may want to rethink your travel plans. Rates differ per
lodging. Generally speaking some B&B have their lowest rates during
July and August and then may have discount rates up to December 1 - 12.
But this is lodging specific. You will need to inquire at each B&B,
motel or hotel.
