8-Tips for Packing and Traveling Lite
I have no problem with HTML either; I killfile anybody who posts
with it. Why? Because I can't read HTML with my news client; I thought that was clear. But apparently lots of people post in HTML without even knowing it. Killfiling them all makes no sense. If I can't read their posts, it makes perfect sense. Bert, what would make more sense is for you to change usenet programs so you CAN read what a significant amount of people post. We all agree that HTML posting is bad for usenet but all you can do is educate people and hope they change. Ignoring them really only makes the matter worse. By not telling them they don't realize their errors. They all want to read and discuss. Its up to the more experienced people to help them along that path, as, no doubt, others did when you first came on usenet. |
