Default 10 weeks train travelling in Austria for 39,8 EUR

For all under 26 there are cheap train travelling options in Austria this
summer:

----

Under 20:

The "Jugend-Feriennetzkarte" ("youth holiday network card") costs 19,9 EUR
and is valid from 2005-07-02 to 2005-09-10 for unlimited trips (2nd class,
all trains) on the Austrian railway network.
The only limitation: On weekdays (Monday-Friday) the ticket is only valid
after 8 am.

----

Under 26:

The "Austria Sommercard" costs 39,9 EUR and is valid one month in the period
2005-07-02 - 2005-09-10. The start date of validity can be choosen flexibly
(e.g. valdi one month from 2005-07-25 to 2005-08-24). Also this ticket
enables unlimited train trips (2nd class, all trains) during the period of
validity. The weekday limitation applies too.

----

To get this two offers you must have a valid "Vorteilscard26". This is the
youth discount card of the Austrian railways, valid one year and enabling
50% reduction on normal tickets.
The "Vorteilscard26" costs 19,9 EUR and can easily be obtained at most
railway stations in Austria. Just bring your passport and a passport-size
photo.

So, if you are younger than 26 and want to travel in Austria this summer,
forget about things like Eurail, Eurodomino, etc....

If under 20 you will totally pay only 39,8 EUR for 10 weeks travelling, if
under 26 you'll pay 59,8 for one month....

Regarding age limitations, the first day of validity of the
"Jugendferiennetzkarte" or the "Austria Sommercard" and the day of purchase
are relevant: If you have your 20th birthday on 2005-07-03 you can buy the
"Jugend-Feriennetzkarte" on 2005-07-02 and use it untill September. But you
cannot buy it on 2005-07-03 or later.

Best regards,

Helmut
