Nice Web site, one small point although Sodwana is Internationally more well
known, especially for the 26 living Coelacanth found there. Protea Banks has
a higher International rating being in listed in the top 10 shark dives in
the world.
A article by British "Diver" magazine last year also rated it as the best
diving
in SA.
Aliwal Shoal is one of the few places in the world where Tiger Sharks
are regularly seen during the summer months. And in the winter it's famous
for the "Raggied Tooth Sharks" that congregate there.
It is amazing how many international tourists are coming here solely for the
quality of our shark diving. The sardine run dives are the "in thing".
Compared
to twenty years ago you can't go to a descent dive spot without tripping
over
dozens of foreigners now.
