Kansas City to Los Angeles I-70???

Might any have info on this route? Moving daughter in UHAUL truck Nov. 24 to
Nov. 28. Concerned about grades thru Colo. and Utah. Can make in 5 days??

5 days will be fine. Maybe Salina- Denver- Vegas-Los Angeles

There are about 4 grades; just outside Denver, Eisenhower Tunnel, Vail
Pass and one good grade outside Vegas. A new U-Haul should have no
problem making these grades, you just wont be going 70mph.

Enjoy, it is a great drive. From Vail to Grand Junction the Hwy is very
special.

I agree with jay, the I-70 route through CO is a great way to
go. However if you have the bad luck of trying to pass through during
a storm you may wish you went another way. I suggest that you check
the weather before you leave. If it looks bad here is another route:

I-35 to Wichita
US-54 to Alamogordo NM
US-70 Las Cruces
I-10 to LA

There are all kinds of fun alternative routes off of what I gave
you. Like US-60 from Vaughn NM to Phoenix AZ. Or I-40 through AZ. But
check the weather for I-40 around Flagstaff this is another place that
is most often clear and sunny but can turn very snowy and slippery.
