Default Suggestions for a good B&B in South Wales for viewing castles in June?

Plan to drive from Bath to South Wales and would like to see the
following castles:
Skenfrith
Raglan
Grosmont
White Castle
Caerphillly
Chepstow
Cardiff

Also plan to see the Museum of Welsh Life and Tintern Abbey while in
the area.

Recommendations on how long to stay in the area to see these sites?

Anyone recommend a B&B that makes sense as a base station to see these
various sites?

We plan to drive from South Wales to the Cotswolds when we leave (we
were in North Wales last year so won't be returning).

plan to be in the Cotswolds area for 2 full days, 3 nights.

problem is we need to drive back to London but will have 2 full days
to do something else in the area once through with the Cotswolds.
considering Iron Gorge Bridge area but wondering about the drive back
to London and how long that will take and if there enough sites to see
in the area.

would also like to see Kenilworth and Warwick (for the umpteenth
time), so will either see it on the way to Iron Gorge or will stay an
extra day in the Cotswolds and drive over to see them.

thanks for any recommendations,

steve
