The murder rate is skyrocketing, to the point where the place is now called
DEADmonton! Don't forget with a population of only around half a million, most
of whom are welfare bums, natives and the like....

Apparently the crooked cops are so useless, they can't even catch a cold, let
alone murderers!1

Mind you, with all the crooked op\police chiefs in recent years, it could be
that there are no competent honest cops left?

Reality check

Homicide rate Edmonton 3.5 per 100,000

Homicide rate NYC 7.3 per 100,000

Homicide rate Washington DC 45.8 per 100,000

You must be using some new definition of 'safe'

So far, there are 24 admitted murder in a city with a population of around
half a million.
By year end it could be 40 corpses, admitted, or 8 per 100,000 population.

Apart from daily stabbings, robberies, car-jackings, muggings of old ladies,
B & E's, and all the usual crimes similar to Baltimore/Washington where drugs
and crime go hand in hand!

The city has a population of around 670,000 while the metro area
is close to a million

Nearer 4 which would well under the rate for NYC

Apart from daily stabbings, robberies, car-jackings, muggings of old

All big cities since the foundation of Babylon The Great have had
crime but note that Baltimore/Washington has a much higher
homicide rate.

Between 1991 and 2002 Edmonton had lower homicide rates
than either Winnipeg or Vancouver. In fact the top
homicide rates thus far in 2005 are

Regina: 5.0
Winnipeg: 4.9
Abbotsford, B.C.: 4.4
Edmonton: 3.4
Saskatoon: 3.3
Vancouver: 2.6
Halifax: 2.4
Calgary: 1.9
Toronto: 1.8
Montreal: 1.7

So I suggest you start ranting about Regina instead

But it ca skyrocket and still be safer than NYC which is pretty safe.
Are you challenging the data. And if you are what are your figures and
the source of them?

As to DEADmonton I thought that was a reference to the lack of night life?

The police have admitted to 24 corpses so far this year, with a significant
increase from last year. Mind you, if the corpse is found outside city limits,
such as the dozens of "sex trade workers" killed by a local serial murderer,
found in nearby fields, they do NOT include these in their stats.

Population is still around half million for the city of Deadmonton.

Keith, you either are a non-resident liar not in Deadmonton, or you are
deliberately mixing apples and oranges, as the expression goes.

The city of Deadmonton has a population of only half a million.

If you add all the surrounding cities, THEN you get a total of a million.
This is a false fabrication by the communists running the city, in a futile
attempt to be large enough to appear as second to the thriving metropolis
of Calgary!!

So provide a cite to support your assertion, I have repeatedly
given you the source of my data which I note you have
not chosen to challenge.

If you add all the surrounding cities, THEN you get a total of a million.

So which city do you think is the second largest in Alberta ?

Last time I checked the third largest was 1/10 the size of Edmonton
