Most travelers think that they are covered for medical expenses by their
personal health insurance or credit card. In most cases, this is not
correct, especially for travelers on Medicare and many PPO health
insurance plans. And even if you are covered for emergency medical
expenses you are probably not covered for emergency medical
transportation which can cost $50,000 to $200,000 depending on your
condition and where you are when you need help.
I like to tell my clients that travel insurance is so important because
it protects you while you are traveling and it protects your investment
in your trip (if you select a plan with trip cancellation and
interruption). Don't leave home without it!

So what's the commission like on travel insurance? Since the loss
ratio is so low, I'd think the commissions would be huge.
