I've only done Phantom Ranch, but I do know some of the information. If
you are planning to make reservations for THIS June inside the park, you are
too late. From the www.kaibab.org web site (which I recommend you look at

"Reservations may be made up to 5 months in advance by calling Biospherics
at 1-800-365-2267 (1-800-365-CAMP). Reservations may also be made online at h
http://reservations.nps.gov. Callers from outside the United States should
call 301-722-1257. The HEARING IMPAIRED may use the TDD phone number:
1-888-530-9796. "

This is for Mather campground at Grand Canyon Village on the South Rim.

There is a campground at Desert View and outside the park . These are
first come, first served. Kaibab National Forest permits open camping if
you're a backpacker type.

The full kaibab.org site is at:

Three is some first come, first served

Yep, probably 100 nights.

Is there any camping facility rental in the national park?

Do you mean 'can you rent camping gear"? Yes, at the Babbitt general store
near Yavapai Lodge. Also a place in Flagstaff with rentals.

If you mean 'are there campgrounds', yes, one Park Service CG on each rim.
There are also commercial campgrounds just south of the entrance station near
Tusayan (south rim) and on the north rim (though the north rim spots are much
further from the park than the south rim campgrounds). Finally, on National
Forest lands just outside the parks you can camp for free by following the
logging roads a few hundred yards off the highway and finding a nice spot. No
facilities at all for these though so bring everything you need (water, waste
disposal system).

I make a reservation alreday in mid-June, is there anything that i
should pay attention to? Any insets/wild animals attack?

No animal attacks, not many bugs. Maybe a deer will eat your food if you leave
it out, that's about it. There might be problems with closures due to a high
chance of forest fires, which often shut down the national forest areas in dry
years (like this one) but the Park Service CGs usually remain open unless the
access roads are threatened by fire, which is pretty rare.

Any preparation need before I go?

So long as you're camping on the rim there's nothing special to worry about or
prepare for. It's the backcountry treks in June that get people killed.

Bill
