Hi JR,

It depends on how long the lines are. :+)

When you are sitting inside waiting, you can go to the check-in
counter when you see there is no line. That is what we did with
AirTran a year or so ago.

I fly mostly Northwest or Continental out of EWR Newark Liberty
International Airport. More often then not, I check in online. When I
get to the airport with luggage on wheels, I wheel up to the Kiosk and
print out my boarding pass and luggage tags. Then I to the Northwest or
Continental lounge if I get there early. However, unless I am catching
an international flight...I see no purpose to arriving 3 hours early.

At Ft. Lauderdale Beach, Karen and I have made it a habit of staying at
the same hotel or B&B pre and/or post cruise. During check-in or before
check-out bag storage is prearranged, as is use of the free limo service
to and from the airport/cruise port. As a frequent guest at some of the
Gay B&B, I have a standing invitation to use the facilities, as well as
baggage storage, when I have a lay over. This definitely beats the
Continental or Northwest lounges at the airport.
