Default Rainy season in southern China (june/july)

Hi

I wonder how does it look like the rainy season in southern China
(Kunming, Canton, Chengdu, Wuhan).
I can read on the net that there are a lot of rain, but the same time I
can see that there are min. 6-7 hours/day of sunshine (max 12-13 hours of
sunshine in june/july).

So, is it possible to visite the cities/villages, take a bike excursions,
hikes in mountains in this period? Could anybody tell me how does it look
like?

Regards
Pawel
