That is too true! Cars are DIRT cheap, if you don't care what it looks
like. Friends of ours got one in Auckland for NZ$50. It ran like a
dream...it just LOOKED like a beater!

system is supposed to be poor, and
is it too hilly to cycle?

Wellington is supposed to have better transport and you can get by
without
a
car in Melbourne if you pick
your suburbs carefully and are always home by midnight.
