Suggestions for second Normandy visit?
In Bayeux there isn't anything to
see other than the tapestry and a museum of embroidery. I disagree. The Bayeux cathedral is very worthwhile (see the vault, too). And the British war cemetary is an interesting counterpoint to the large American one at Colleville-sur-Mer. See http://web.utk.edu/~ablack/bayeux.htm for more info. And the tapestry isn't something you want to rush through. |
