Default Terrorism and tourism

Danni and I have a cruise booked for later this year which will take us out of
the country. It will take us to certain areas of the world which recently have
been in the news as terrorist targets.

Up until yesterday when word of the death by beheading of Nick Berg suddenly
made me aware that there are people out there who really hate us, I was hot to
trot, but now I am starting to re-think my decision.

Macho me wants to say that terrorism will not alter my plans, but my
responsibility as a parent has me giving the trip second thoughts.

Does anyone have any sage advice to offer me?

Dick
Only Danni and yourself are able to decide whether to go or stay. From
my point of view I would cancel. But that would be my decision.

SUNNY.........I also know that "stuff"

Skipping the Mid-East might be a good idea.

Dick... If you ever get on a cruise ship and notice that one of the
Chefs bears a strong resemblance to Steven Segal, be on the look-out.
...Otherwise, put your trust in the Captain, turn CNN off, relax and
enjoy the cruise. ...Jon

You are currently in the biggest terrorist target on the planet if you
caught any of the news today. So by definition, anyplace else on the planet
but the United States has to be safer.

Unless you are going to a place with active terrorist activity, I wouldn't
worry about it. And there aren't many cruises running to those places.
