if your flight on your first leg gets delayed and you would like some
tangible evidence of this , apart from taking a photo of the
departture time screen, is there some sort of confirmation airlines
issue to passengers? what would this be called in airline jargon, a
delay confirmation possibly? thx- Hide quoted text -

revised ETAs. You can setup your cellphone or PC to receive those
updates.

I'm assuming that you're talking about a situation where, as a result of
the delay, you fail make the connecting flight, and you need to continue
on a different flight. This is called an "Involuntary Reroute".

In the days of paper tickets, you would go straight to the transfer desk
on landing and insist on getting your flight coupon endorsed with
exactly these words.

How it works now with Etix I don't know, and it hasn't happened to me
(yet), but if you google "Involuntary Reroute" you'll find a lot of info.

T.
