Manhattan hotels
Hi,
We're going to be in NYC for a few days next summer (July) and it seems that finding a "decent priced" room is going to be difficult. Since we'll be arriving on a saturday afternoon it seems the prices will even be higher that during weekdays. We looked at hotels just accross the bridges/tunnels in NJ or LI but modest priced hotels don't have subway or bus stops nearby (I guess that's why they're decent priced :-) ). Pro for Manhattan hotels: everything is closeby Contra: expensive Pro "off Manhattan: lower price Contra: daily commute on taxi/public transport, less convenient. Anyone with suggestions on modest priced hotels in Manhattan? We are looking for Hampton Inn / Holiday Inn Express category. Thanks in advance.
