How long is the drive?

Ideal to stop off for a couple of nights?

Thanks.

I don't know the exact distance in kilometres, but it's possible to do
the drive in one day (without sightseeing).

Storms River Mouth, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, Port Alfred are all
pretty nice places to spend some time. you don't need more than one or
two days in these places, so if you plan to arrive in the afternoon
and spend the evening and the next morning there, you'll have enough
time to look around.

Cheers,
Marc

Thanks.

It's about 550km, about 6 hours generally.
If you are traveling during South African holiday times (especially
December/January) add 45 to 90 minutes to your traveling time as you will
probably run into slow traffic around Knysna.

Marc suggested some good places to stop over, you can also follow the links
from here http://wikitravel.org/en/Garden_Route for more.
