Trash this Group, Google !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Google, this Group which used to be an interesting one for getting
information
and, in a question in my competence, I used to answer.

But now I find that this has become nothing but TRASH full of
advertisemtents
for trips, tours, equipment, etc.

So I shall not be back.

I would like to see Google start a NEW group on REAL TRAVEL
and get rid of the S**T in this group.

Google does not own Usenet. It is merely a carrier of a much larger network
of technology. Perhaps you should use it to google Usenet and find out for
yourself.

As Cari said, Google doesn't control this (or any other) newsgroup.

Most newsgroups are unmoderated, so anyone can post anything, making
it impossible to stop spam.

The proliferation of spam in the newsgroups is one reason they've
declined in popularity. Most users go to moderated discussion forums
at web sites instead.

Indeed! So I would be thankful if Google trashed not only
this newsgroup, but all of them. Usenet was a far better
source of information before the Google folks came around.

Good question. I don't use Google. I just suffer from the spammers who do.
