AW: Why We Don't Want "Free" Medical Care
Patients "cannot, in one episode of treatment, be treated on the
N.H.S. and then allowed, as part of the same episode and the same treatment, to pay money for more drugs," the health secretary, Alan Johnson, told Parliament. And why not?? There is no reason. The German health insurance system has stopped paying for "everything", but the consequence is that you have to pay the difference yourself - up to a certain percentage of your income. It is just plain rubbish if the NHS insists "either we pay what we consider appropriate or you pay the lot and we do not pay a penny". |

The case with the cancer patient showed that the NHS does not work properly.
But in the US the lady might have no insurance at all, which is still worse! |

Remember, sickness is God's punishment, being poor is a sign that you are evil. -- William Black I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Barbeques on fire by the chalets past the castle headland I watched the gift shops glitter in the darkness off the Newborough gate All these moments will be lost in time, like icecream on the beach Time for tea. |
