Default Off to Sicily for a long weekend...

....this Friday. Will 10,000 euro be enough?

No! The pickpockets need more than this.

Ransom money?

The restaurants are really expensive.

Take Alfie's advice and have a big breakfast.

Easy enough to do as we'll have an apartment.

This seems a strange place to go to for a long weekend.

It's not long enough to "do" all the sights, but it's not the sort of short
hop like Paris/Brussels/Amsterdam that you would be prepared to do more than
once

just my 2p worth

It would seem strange to me if we were trying to see the whole island,
which we're not. Indeed, we're not even going to the main sights on the
island.

It's a three hour flight- once you factor in check-in, travel to the
airport, the difference between a one hour and three hour flight is
pretty small in my experience. Flight departure/arrivals are convenient
too, arriving lunchtime, leaving after dinner- staying three nights.

In addition to that, other deciding factors were the cheap flight
(booked 4 weeks ago) and the fact we hadn't been to Italy for a few
years...
