No it is not the wrong forum. Smoking and second hand smoke is a cruise
issue. Some would curb smoking more than has been done already on
cruise ships and some would leave the smoking policies as they are.
Increasingly there are curbs not just in the US but now curbs are
spreading globally. That could increase the pressure on cruise lines to
make further curbs on their ships.

Hey, Charles

I think Oceania has the right idea. There are only two small areas on the
ships where smoking is allowed. There is a small area inside near the main
pool, and a small area outside near the Aft pool where smoking is allowed.

NO SMOKING in any of the lounges, restaurants, casino, cabins oor balconies.
They have been known to remove passengers from the ship with NO compensation
for repeatedly ignoring this policy.

They Never have any trouble filling their ships and are often booked to
capacit as much as a year prior to sailing.

HOOORAY for OCEANIA!!!

The Oceania policy sounds good to me. Azamara which tries to copy
Oceania had about the same policy and I thought it worked well.
Celebrity also has one of the more restrictive smoking policies. The
casino on Constellation was smoke free and it was the first time I
could stand being in the casino. And the casino was full every evening.

Charles of RTC said: "Like my smoker co-worker who has not worked for
three months now because he has to take oxygen due to diminished lung
capacity from years of smoking. Although I feel bad he is ill I don't
feel bad about taking his job since he put himself in that
situation."
