Go to www.travelmanitoba.com
There was a CBC National radio program broadcast from here (Winnipeg) on Friday and they noted a lot of things to do in Winnipeg - the arts, festivals, etc, in spite of the fact that the folks in Ontario feel they are at the hub of everything. I read between the lines, mind you! ScottDar is probably living in Kenora, Ontario and still wants to think of my place of birth as "The Hub" of NW Ontario. His envy will pass. wrote: And what is interesting here? please collaborate. |

Hey, whazzamatter? Churchill is closer to Winnipeg and the rest of us tax
payers than Toronto is. No drug-craved killers roaming the streets of Churchill. No traffic jams. A wonderful place for asmatics to live without all that pollution and pollen crap. Lots of local and original inhabitants all over the place instead of being cooped up in the Toronto zoo. About as expensive as Toronto, though! wrote: Thanks for that very interesting information. Churchill sounds particularly interesting. Its sounds like much too far from Winnipeg for a drive. Thanks everyone for the info. |

Aren't you talking about YOUR local airport? Seems to me that all airports
are good for getting out - ask the locals where you live :-) Richard Hewitt wrote: The airport - catch a plane to somewhere [anywhere] else. John Hewitt Malaga Spain |

Ok, Joe thinks everyone knows that a road doesn't exist from Winnipeg to
Churchill. I don't think I was being a smartass poster for not knowing this as I live in a place (North Carolina) where a road will take you anywhere you want to go in the state. I am guilty of not looking at the atlas before asking about driving to Churchill. Now I know. |
