Nightlight
I would like to send a seashell nightlight to a friend in Japan. Will there
be a problem with the US 15 watt bulb and high Japanese voltage? Converting the plug is not a problem. Thanks |

Japanese voltage is *low* compared to US/Canada voltage, about 100VAC and either 50Hz or 60Hz depending on the part of Japan (which won't matter). The bulb will work okay and last a very long time. Converting the plug is not a problem. A standard two US/Canada-style 2-blade AC plug will work. I don't know if they can use polarized plugs (the kind with one blade wider than the other) or not.- it's possible that type wouldn't fit. Best regards, Spehro Pefhany -- "it's the network..."
