Day 1. Yangon Arrival Arrive at Yangon Airport, met by our knowledgeable guide and transfer to your Hotel Evening sightseeing : visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, a world renowned stupa. Famous for its religious significance, artistic beauty and its association with Myanmar culture. Walking Tour around Sule Pagoda, Mahabandoola Park, China Town, India Town Kandawgyi Royal Lake and Karaweik Hall; the colonial style Buildings. Overnight in Yangon. Day 2. Yangon – Bagan (Flight) Early morning fly to Bagan (Nyaung Oo Airport). One of the richest archaeological sites in Asia, the capital of the first Myanmar Empire, located on the bank of the Ayeyarwady river. Upon arrival start the city tour with Nyaung Oo market; Shwezegon Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar stupa; Gupyaukkyi & Htilominlo, noted for its plaster carvings ; Kyansittha Umin, a tunnel with an interesting features of paintings. After lunch, Archaeological Museum; Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece recembling a Greek Cross; lacquerware industry; Bupaya on the bank of the Ayeyarwady river; Manuha Temple, a captive King’s impression of life in prison; Myazedi and Gupyaukgyi Temple with fine mural paintings on the N side of Myingaba village and sunset at the Mingalazedi. Dinner and overnight in Bagan. Day 3. Bagan After breakfast extension to Payathonzu built in the late 13 century Sulamani Pahto; Damayangyi Temple, one of the late period of temple originally coverred with murals and the biggest in Bagan forming the shape of a Greek Cross; Shwesandaw, believed to enshrine some sacred hairs of the Buddha and sunset. Overnight in Bagan. Day 4. Bagan – Mount Popa-Mandalay (Coach) Proceed of Mt. Popa an extinct volcano. 50 Km SE of Bagan. Perched on the volcanic peck (1518 m) are filled with several pagodas. Some of the “nats” or the spirits of nature in Mt. Popa’s prayer hall are large imposing figures courting much attention. Proceed to Mandalay, the last Capital of Myanmar Dynasty, 300 Km from Bagan. Afternoon sightseeings with the famous Mahamuni Pagoda. The Proceed to visit traditional handicraft workshops-marble work, gold leaf making and bronzeware making. Overnight in Mandalay. Day 5. Mandalay After breakfast excursion to Amarapura, an ancient capital 11 Km S of Mandalay. U Pein Bridge 1.2 Km long wooden bridge over the seasonal Taungthaman Lake built in 1784. Then proceed to silk weaving; tapestry work; Mandalay Royal Palace; Shwenandaw monastry made of carved teak; Kuthodaw known as the world’s biggest book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures and Mandalay Hill, a vantage point for panoramic view of the city. Dinner and overnight in Mandalay. Day 6. Mandalay – Inwa – Sagaing (Coach) After breakfast excursion to (Inwa, an ancient Capital of Myanmar kingdom for nearly 400 Years) and (Sagaing, which is famous for dirve over 16 spans Inwa Bridge across the Ayeyarwady River to Picturesque Sagaing Hill). Inwa Bridge was opened in 1934 and put out the action by the british in 1942 when they demolished two spans inorder to deny the bridge repaired and put back into operation . There’s a toll to take cars across the bridge which also carries the rail line. Dinner and overnight in Mandalay. Day 7. Mandalay – Mingun (Boat) – Monywa (Coach) Atfer breakfast excursion to Mingun by boat. It is about 11 Km upriver from Mandalay on the opposite bank of the Ayeyarwady River, 45 minutes boat trip to Mingun for experience life along the river. Mingun is famous for 90 tons Mingun Bell, the largest hung and uncraked ringing bell in the world. Afternoon drive to Monywa, 136 Km north-west from Mandalay. Monywa (Thalawadi) is famous for Poewintaung Cave and Shwe Ba Taung. Overnight in Monywa. Day 8. Monywa After breakfast excursion to Poewintaung Cave and Shwe Ba Taung. Drive back to Monywa and Overnight in Monywa. Day 9. Monywa – Pyin Oo Lwin (Coach) After breakfast drive to Pyin Oo Lwin, known as Maymyo before. Situated on the Shan Plateau over 3.000 ft above sea-leavel and cool the whole year round. Pyin Oo Lwin is best known for its colonial hill station with English Style gables. Colourful market gardening centre; coffee plantations; Botanical garden; Pwe Kauk waterfall and Paik Chin Myaung Cave are Tour Highlights. Dinner and overnight in Pyin Oo Lwin. Day 10. Pyin Oo Lwin – (Mandalay Airport) - Heho (Inle) (Flight) Early morning transfer to Mandalay Airport for flight to Heho. Arrive at Heho Airport and drive to Nyaung Shwe – Inle. (Inle lake is famous for its unique leg-rowers, floating villages and colourful market). Overnight in Inle. Day 11. Inle lake After breakfast boat excursion to Inle Lake, visit to floating garden; floating market; leg-rowers; silk weaving villages; Phaungdaw Oo pagoda and Ngaphechaung Monastery. Overnight in Inle. Day 12. Inle-Taunggyi-Kakku-Pindaya (Boat + Coach) After breakfast drive to Taunggyi, the capital city of Shan State. Famous for its colourful national races, scenic charm and pleasantly cool climate. The most significance festival in Taunggyi is Tazaungdaing Lighting festival and Hot Air Balloons festival held in November every year. After lunch proceed to Kakku Ancient Pagodas & Pa-O Tribes. Kakku is famous as the Second Bagan. It was built on BC 307. There are 7623 pagodas in Kakku. Visit to the Pa-O tribes villages to see the simple way of their lives. Evening drive to Pindaya. Dinner and overnight in Pindaya. Day 13. Pindaya Pindaya is a legendary town for its picturesque Lake (Pone Ta Loke) and limestone cave (Shwe Oo Min) housing over 8,000 Buddha images dating centuries back in History. Sightseeing around the lake and the cave. Day 14. Pindaya (trekking)-Kalaw Pindaya dwelling of several ethnic groups in Myanmar inclusive of Danu, Pa-O, Pa-laung, Taung-yoe is relatively the best choice to drop into, in particular for trekking fans. Early morning starting for day – return trip trekking to Sale –inn village, to see Taung-Yoe hill tribe (or) day-return trip to Yasakyi village, to see Pa-Laung hill tribe. Then transfer to Kalaw. (a former British Hill station). Overnight in Kalaw. Day 15. Kalaw-Heho-Yangon (Flight) After breakfast visit to Kalaw market and sightseeing. After lunch transfer to Heho airport for evening flight to Yangon. Overnight in Yangon. Coach trip to Southern Myanmar Day 16. Yangon – Bago (An ancient city of the Mon Kingdom) After breakfast drive to Bago located 80 km away from Yangon. The city was founded by two Mon brothers Thamala and Wimala from Thaton in 13rd centry AD. Bago was made the capital of Mon Kingdon and it came to be known as Hansavati (Hanthawadi). Today Bago is the capital of Bago Division. On the way visit to Shwenyang Pin Natt spirit Shrine where there are the people usually to gave respect for car safety and world war II British Cemetery. Bago is famous for its excavation site of Ancient Kanbawzathadi Royal Palace. First visit to the 4 seated Buddha Images Kyaik Pun; Kyakhat Waing Monastery, famous for the over one thousand monks studying and having the lunch. Tour Highlights of Shwe Tha Lyaung Pagoda; Mahazedi; ShweMawdaw Pagoda; Hinthakone and cheroots factory. After lunch visit to Ancient Kambawzathadi Royal Palace. Then visit to the villages to see the simple way of Myanmar life. Overnight in Bago. Day 17. Bago-Kyaikhteeyoe After breakfast drive to Kyaikhteeyoe, the Amazing Golden Rock Pagoda. Arrive at Kimpun, base camp of Kyaikhteeyoe and continue the uphill climb to the Pagoda (The Holy Place of Myanmar). The stupa was built on the big boulder which is located on the huge step rock on Kyaikhteeyoe hill. It seems that the boulder will fall at a slight push. It is about 3600 feet above sea-level. And then excursion to legendry kyeepazat Cave, Hme Shindaw Pagoda & Kyauk Hle Bee (the Stone Wheel) and colourful local shop houses. Enjoy the sunset on the Golden Rock Pagoda Hill. Overnight in Kyaikhteeyoe Hotel. Day 18. Kyaikhteeyoe-Mawlamyaing After breakfast transfer to Kimpun base camp and drive to Mawlamyaing, the capital city of Mon State. Famous for its scenic view, enhanced by the fast moving Than-Lwin (Salween) River Surrounded by many small islands leading out to Andaman Sea. Arrive at Mottama, take a ferry boat to reach Mawlamyaing. Dinner and overnight in Mawlamyaing. Day 19. Mawlamyaing – Thanbyuzayat - Kyaik-kha-Mi-Sett-se beach. After breakfast drive to Thanbyuzayat. It was known as the western terminus of the infamous Burma Siam Railway (The Death Railway) by the thousands of Allied prisoners of World War II and Asian collies who were forced by the Japanese Military to built it which was connected with the famous River Kwai (Thailand). Visit to the World War II memorial cemeteries both Allied soldiers and Japanese soldiers who had scrified their lives. Proceed to the World largest reclining Buddha Image(under construction). Then, drive to Kyaik-Kha-Mi Island Pagoda and Sett-se beach; Rubber plantation and lunch. Drive back to Mawlamyaing at evening and take a walking tour along the strand road & enjoy the sunset seeing. Dinner and overnight in Mawlamyaing. Day 20. Mawlamyaing-Kyaik-Htee-Saung After breakfast visit the eastern part of the city, a hilly north-south ridge; Mahamuni Pagoda, (built in typical Mon Style) and Kyaik Thanlan Pagoda. After lunch drive to Kyaik-Htee-Saung. Excursion around Kyaikhtee Saung and met the Sayardaw (the abbot of monastery) and others famous hair relic pagodas. After vegetarian dinner observation to the Sayadaw’s Dahma Plain. Overnight in Kyaikhtee Saung. Day 21. Kyaikhtee Saung – Yangon Kyaikhtee Saung is famous for its pagoda and sayadaw (the abbot of the monastery). The stupa is located on the amazing literate stones built by human being. After breakfast excursion to mount Kaylartha; Mya-Tha-Pake (emerald bowl) and Vegetarian Lunch. After lunch drive back to Yangon. Dinner and overnight in Yangon. Day 22. Yangon – Pyay (Prome) After breakfast drive to Pyay. Pyay is known as Prome before. Famous for the Thayekhittaya (Sriksetra) Old Palace site of Pyu Kingdom the 5th century. Pyu architecture is very different from that of the Bagan era. On the way visit to Shwe Taung famous for Shwe Myet Hman (the Buddha Image wearing the glass). Overnight in Pyay. Day 23. Pyay-Yangon After breakfast visit to Hmawza Archaeological Museum; Shwesandaw Pagoda; Hse-htat-gyi the colossal Buddha image. Visit to the famous Pagodas at Pyay Mountain Range and Nawaday bridge. After lunch drive back to Yangon. Dinner and overnight in Yangon. Day 24. Yangon Highlights After breakfast visit to National Museum; Kyauk Taw Kyi the World largest Marble Buddha Image and White Elephants and beauty Inya Lake. After lunch proceed to Gem Museum; Kabaraye Pagoda; Chauk Htat Kyi the huge reclining Buddha and Strand Road for walking Tour. Dinner and overnight in Yangon. Day 25. Yangon-Pathein- Chaungtha Beach After breakfast drive to Pathein, situated on the eastern bank of Pathein River in Ayeyarwaddy Delta above 190km west of Yangon. Pathein is known as the Big Rice-Pot in Myanmar, because of its high yield paddy production. Noted for its colourful umbrella workshops which are actually parasols. After lunch excursion to the beautiful beach resort of Chaungtha which is located 40m to the west of Pathein. Dinner and overnight in Chaungtha. Day 26. Chaungtha Beach. Enjoy in Chaungtha Beach. Day 27. Chaungtha – Yangon. After breakfast drive back to Yangon. Shopping at Bogyoke Market for souvenirs. Dinner and overnight in Yangon. Day 28.
