Holy smokes george! This virus really gets around. Strange..I've NEVER had

What is strange is that you live right in the middle of one of the biggest
outbreaks and you are totally ignorant of this.

In this story http://www.eagletribune.com/punews/l...tory_031064515 it
says that in six weeks, over 3,700 people were treated at Boston Hospitals
for the virus and about 1400 cases were reported in New Hampshire. Isn't
that the area where you live, John? It looks like all the major newspapers
and TV stations have covered the story.

never even HEARD OF IT,

I am not surprised.

Thanks Ray. Do you know which ship?

Hi Ermalee,

It was the Volendam.
http://www.lighthousetravel.com

Ray,
Just having gotten off that ship nearly two weeks ago, this really surprised
me..The ship was very clean and there were hand sanitizers everywhere along
with signs to wash your hands...No one got sick on that cruise...The only
thing that could have caused this was that someone had to have embarked on
that ship already sick with the Norovirus...

Hi Jean,

This is the way it works. Someone ill boards the ship and it spreads.
It is the same way it spreads when you are not on a cruise ship.

Best regards,

Just reported that the volendam returned to port in Florida with 112 sick
passengers and 1 dead passenger. Sounds like they had one hell of a good
time.
Some gastro-intestinal outbreak hit the passengers and crew and up to 112
became sick. Some reported, that in addition to vomiting, it was also
coming
out the other end. Some were confined to their cabins for up to 5 days.
WOW! What a way to spend a vacation.
I noticed that dickie G and company have not been on this NG for the past
week or so. Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Wonder if Dickie, the foul mouthed daughter
and Heidi, the wonder dog might have been on this cruise to hell.
Originaly scheduled for the panama canel, but I wonder if they even made
it.
Time will tell.

JP,
For your information, we all came back feeling well. You know that because
you HAVE seen us posting here since we returned...
You also knew very well that Dick had to cancel this cruise, but you
continue to post the usual nonsense. I give Dick and Danni credit for
either ignoring you or having kill filed you...You are a trouble maker who
has never cruised but continues to post here...and don't give me the baloney
that you were on a cruise when instead you were on a military troop ship
years ago....anyone with a grain of sense would know the difference...sadly
you keep acting as if you know something about cruising...You must have a
lot of empty time on your hands to spend it pathetically pretending and
constantly picking on rtc posters...shame on you!
I have had enough of you and am putting you in my kill file as of today.

Never heard of it in the boston area george and I watch boston channel 7
nearly every evening. The last outbreak I noticed in the media, other than
these cruises to hell, was the california hotel in vegas. Lots of japanese
visitors got sick and they cleaned the whole place.
Maybe channel 7 reported it and I missed the report, but usually all channel
7 dwells on are shootings and rapes in dorchester and roxbury, just outside
of bean town.

Oh..Oh..wait. Today is not over until midnight queen o'boyle. My cruise on
the troop ship was very nice and since I helped the cooks in the galley
(notice that nautical term I used) I had my picking of all of the good food.
Thanks for jogging my memory. Dickie did say something about no going on
this cruise. Was it a health problem or that he spent all of his money on
lawyers??
Just curious. Can't wait for dickie to return and explain this long absence.

Jean, That is always the case, some passenger who is ill embarks anyway and
passes it on to others who are in this relatively confined space. As for
Payton 'never' having it, I hardly believe that as probably 98% of the
people in the USA have had the stomach flu at one time or another and that
is all this is.

I saw something on Yahoo the other day that several people were poisoned and
died from hand sanitizers. That was alarming to me. We use the hand
sanitizers at home. So I read it and it turns out that these people drank
the stuff.
Healthy sailing,
Don

I'll take back what I said. I did have stomach flu years ago and forgot all
about it. So, I've had it once in my life but not very often.

snipped...........................

I believe it! Now, their relatives will sue because the sanitized did not
have a warning label and they will take the company for a bundle.
