There was an old museum/tourist attraction called "Movie World" in Buena
Park, CA near Knott's Berry Farm. It has been closed since the 1970s.

There's very little information about this place online, but one site does
have some old postcard shots of the "picture cars" in their collection:
www.river-road.net/oldcars/oldcustoms/

To follow up, I remember the old TV ads for this place when I was growing up
in the San Fernando Valley. IIRC, they featured Billy Barty and Robbie the
Robot.
