Using adapters in Paris
"Mark Fagan" ) writes:
Europe is universally 230v 50 Hz. The only thing you may need is a plug adaptor. Correct but UK and mainland Europe have different shaped plugs. I travel with an assortment of converters and adaptors that takes care of all situations. It's also possible to buy a universal adaptor/converter. As others have stated, however, laptops adapt themselves to different power supplies, all you need is a plug that accepts your local (US?) laptop plug at one end and plugs into a French socket at the other. -- Jim Garner, sage and dogsbody.
