Default Africa again and again and now, again

In 1999 I found this group while preparing for our first trip to Africa -
Kenya and Tanzania - in 2000. It's nice to see familiar names still
providing so much information: Hans and Liz, in particular.

Reading the posts back then I was impressed by the fact no one seemed to
have been to Africa just one time; they had returned again and again. It
happened to us as well.

We so loved Africa we went back as soon as possible. Namibia and Zululand in
2001.

We are leaving November 25, 2003 to cruise Athens to Cape Town for 24 days,
stopping at west coast countries along the way.
Very excited and plan to stay over Cape Town for three extra days. Our
families won't remember us by the time we get home.

Beverly, all,

some people believe that humans are attracted by Africa,
particularly the east African savannah, because this is the land
where we evolved and of which we have a "genetic memory".

This contravenes the wisdom of some religions, if their
scriptures are taken all too literally. But I think it's an
interesting thought nonetheless.

Sounds like an interesting trip, Beverley.
Which west coast countries in particular are you visiting?
Great you caught the Africa bug :-)

Liz (being nosey, as usual!)
