Default Red Hook !!

Since it will be a Saturday morning I may try that. How do you get from
the Holland Tunnel to the Battery Tunnel?

Are you familiar with the Staten Island Expressway, it is pretty
congested most of the time. From Jersey City I would take the Holland
Tunnel and then the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel which takes you almost to
the pier. Of course I was driving in Manhattan as soon as I got my
drivers license.lol

I think you will be glad, the SI Expressway will be a zoo. I think you
would take West Street and head downtown, but I am not sure. I could
drive from one to the other without a problem, but I can't give you
directions.lol

I know Southwest flys to the other airport - but not if you are using
a frequent flyer ticket - which I am - so I have to take the more
inconvenient route :-) And yes I'd consider taking another airline
but if I go on Southwest I have a companion pass for my wife to fly
free - so no matter how much the taxi cost is, it's a heck of a lot
cheaper than airfare.

All that being said - and I appreciate everyone's comments - if we fly
in on Friday (to Islip) - where would be a good convenient area/place
to stay that would be close to Red Hook???

Hi Sue you'll love Half Monn Cay . I think that and Disney's are the
best . When are you doing the Freedom ? I wish we were doing Priness
Cay in place of San juan . Been to San Juan alot .

We were at Disney's private island and it was very nice. I like that
they dock instead of tendering, also liked the separate adult beach
and buffet area. Also the tram they had that went between the
different areas. It was cool and windy when we were there, so I don't
know how the water was.

We are doing the Freedom Oct. 14, 2007 on the MOAGC3. I guess that
date wouldn't work for you with your boys?
