Study Abroad Experience and Perspective of Monterrey Mexico
Hello,
I´m not sure if anyone here has visited or is planning on visiting Monterrey, Mexico. I´m a student from San Antonio, Texas, not too far away from Monterrey, Mexico. Actually my friends questioned me why I was "studying-abroad" in Monterrey since it´s so close (about 5-6 hours). Anyhow, make a long story short, Monterrey has been great but I myself was having a hard time finding resources about Monterrey and the whole experience. These past six months I have kept an ongoing blog from a somewhat professional point of view over the cultural differences and major topics that someone might have questions about in Monterrey. Since I´m a college student, some of the posts do cover University material, but other posts are in relation to local politics, United States stereotypes, taxi´s, mass-transit system, relative prices, exchange rates, etc. The link to the blog which after I leave Monterrey I´m still planning on keeping up is: http://blog.jlramirez.info I hope someone finds it useful. - Jorge Luis Ramirez |
