Hotels, etc: Romantic Road Germany
Hello,
My wife and I will be going to Germany in late May/early June 2004 for a vacation and plan to drive the Romantic Road. We would appreciate recommendations for restaurants and places to stay on this trip. We plan on 5-7 days. At this point, we will spend 3 nights in the Fussen area and one night in Wurzburg, leaving 2-3 nights not planned for. So, we would like suggestions for places between Wurzburg and Fussen for places to spend the night. We prefer B&B's. Also, we have not travelled to Germany so any helpful suggestions are appreciated. DS Back in the late 80s we stayed in the Schloss Harburg in Harburg on the Romantischestrasse. It's a medieval castle with a restaurant and small hotel. It wasn't expensive and we enjoyed the atmosphere. More information at http://www.fuerst-wallerstein.de/eng...urg/index.html . Although there's no mention of the hotel on that page, click on "Gastronomy" where the information indicates that there are 20 rooms at the Castle Inn there. GG |

Hotels, etc: Romantic Road Germany
My wife and I stayed at a B&B in Dinkelsbühl, which was just a 10 minute
walk from the old walled city. The B&B, which we found through the local tourist office, was very nice, clean, friendly owners, and good value. Their website is: http://www.haus-zollhoefer.de/ |
