What are the best beaches for snorkeling? How about just for lying
on the sand?

Best place to rent snorkeling equipment?

Thanks!

water lemon for snorkeling

almost any of them for lying around

there are several shops that rent -- they are competitive -- and the
equipment, particularly the fins are a lot better than the less
expensive gear people who don't snorkel often tend to buy --

Jeff,
Equipment;
As the ferry enters Cruz Bay look along the beach to the right about 100
yards. They have good equipment there.

Snorkeling;
Find "Haul Over",, when the seas are somewhat calm. Look for the "lowest
and narrowest" land on the east end of the island.

Beaches;
Before noon, Jumbie Beach.
After noon, Gibney's Beach

You didn't ask, but for the Best snorkel day trip out of St John; (IMHO)
