Default Orbitz Warning

Hey folks
I have been working on trying to get 7 airline tickets from Portland ME to
Tampa for over 3 hours now with Orbitz.
Warning to all: If you are booking on their website and it says that your
tickets have not gone through DO NOT hit the purchase button again as the
website directs you to do. I have just had to have 12,000 worth of holds
taken off my credit card so I can now go book my tickets with someone else.
I have used Orbitz many many times, without problem. I think there is
something wrong with the website right now. I just want to save anyone else
this aggravation.

Sorry you had so much trouble with Orbitz. It is hard for me to tell if
the problem is on my end, or theirs.

Once I made a mistake buying air tickets on Orbitz and they refunded my
money, but I had to pay them $25 for my mistake. Most of the time I use
Expedia, but I was flying out of the country and Expedia did not show
all of the flights.

I have only used Orbitz once, but everything went through with no problem
and I saved as ton of money.

My in-laws booked a flight from DFW to ATL and paid over $1,000 each through
A-A. We booked an A-A flight for the day after their flight and paid $250
each. They used the "bereavement" far that A-A offers while we didn't bother
with it.

Thanks for the tip and sorry you had problems...

I have also used Expedia a couple of
times and have no complaints.

Is MHT a very long ride? Easy, inexpensive parking and Tampa non-stops
on Southwest. I booked my Brother in Law and family for $55 each way
on an internet fare.
