Is there a website for buying tickets for London theatrical
performances such as "The Lord of the Rings" or "Wicked" at economical
prices? Or is there a website that anyone can recommend that provides
good info on London's theatrical scene?

What about Rome? Is there a good website for, say, seeing a Puccini
opera? What kind of prices should we expect to pay?

Can be best to buy on the day.

If you are over 60, with ID to prove that, many shows have
half-price tickets at the door on the evening of the show. I
attended Les Miserables and The Vortex by that means last
month with excellent seats (I am 61, but not a UK citizen).

Many London hotel concierges have access to discount seat
tickets on the day for West End shows. Check with the hotels
you intend booking.
