Recommendation sought for family resort with nice beach

I'm looking for advice on where to book a family vacation -
specifically looking for all-inclusive with quality food and excellent
beach - calm, clear water with plenty of shade available, and with
some nightly shows/activities.
Any recommendations much appreciated.

Maybe it doesn't exist! :-)

I always thought "all-inclusive" and "quality food" were mutually
exclusive.....

La Cabana is not right on the beach. You have to cross a road, dragging
your small children and all your stuff. The place is huge, so if your
room isn't centrally located, the walk to the beach will be even longer.
Could be a real drag with very small kids. If I were you, I would look
for a place that is really on the beach.
