Although we've done more Princess cruises than others, NCL has out done them
with the food quality lately. We've been on 2 Princess cruises since Oct
2005 & we've notices a big decline unless you opt for one on the specialty
restaurants.

I'm an NCL fan ... They give us now what we want with a relaxing
atmosphere highlighted by the Freestyle concept ...
Doesn't mean they are better or worse than any others ... just most
compatible for our desires ...
I've been impressed with Celebrity, HAL and Princess also ...

Used to be Holland American, but after a Canada / New England cruise,
believe it or not, we now prefer Norwegian Cruise Line - especially after
our Hawaii cruise aboard the Pride of Aloha.

HAL for sure, closely followed by Orient Lines.
Haven't tried Celebrity yet, though)

It looks like variety makes the world go round. If we all wanted the same
cruise line, we would never get a booking.

I can't imagine only making bookings on one cruise line. And when
people say they are loyal to one cruise line or will only book on one
cruise line I cringe.

I can see it both ways, but if you don't see what else is out there, how
will you know. I have had wonderful, memorable cruises on Premier's Big
Red Boat and Rembrandt, I have fond memories of the old Star Princess
(now ocean village) The Radisson Diamond may be my favorite cruise, but
not necesarily the best cabin or food, but the service was so fantastic
it is the standard by which I currently judge such things.

Silversea was unforgettable, 2x on the Radisson Seven Seas Voyager a
privilege, etc. each cruise has its own charm. Disney gets high marks
and yet after touring the Magic, I went to the Big Red Boat for a 4 day
trip to the Bahamas, I loved that ship as I walked up the gangway
despite having just left the sparkling new but to my mind, cold and
antiseptic, Magic.

When the sun goes down and we are all aboard, it is the people that one
shares a meal with that makes the experience. That is all the people,
staff and guests. That is all of us. We make it for each other.
