United Seeks 3rd Extension On Reorganization Plan
United Airlines has asked a US bankruptcy court to extend until June
30 a March 8 deadline for it to submit its own reorganization plan. It was the third time that the carrier, the world's second largest airline had asked the Chicago court to extend the period of exclusivity under Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. http://news.airwise.com/stories/2004/02/1076448121.html Ouch, the third time. United is closing their Miami base as of May 1st. They are also giving up some S. America routes from Miami. Miami will become just another stop on their route like Jacksonville or Orlando. My friend will have to dead head to SF to start his flights. He thinks of it as a 5hr 3k mile commute to work. Eric "Save The Sync, Ban MOS" |

United Seeks 3rd Extension On Reorganization Plan
Given the size of United, the BK trustee is likely to give them as many as
five. After that, the trustee may conclude that management doesn't have what it takes and will step in and appoint his own management for the airline, and start selling it off most likely until it is of the size that it's earning capacity can support. -- ***/***/*** http://wonderofitall.com/ ***/***/*** "Cassie" wrote in message om... Like speeding - if they catch you, you are burned. How would they catch you. If you speed, they can determine this with a radar. How would they know how much sleep you got. There are required rest periods, where you aren't on duty, but there is no requirement to sleep during them. If you go home for 8 hours, how would they know whether you got 1 or 7 hours sleep? |

just "time not on duty" - not "sleep"
