I'm not 100% sure, but I think you missed the subtlety of AJC's response - a tad tongue in cheek !! :-) QF still operate SIN-DRW 3 or 4 times weekly, so you can get a one-stop flight to DRW from LHR without any backtracking. Involves a transfer at SIN, but a far better option than backtracking once inside Oz. SQ dropped their SIN-DRW some years back.
