Default Swim with Dolphins-- for free?

can anyone give me advice in general on how to swim with the dolphins
in their natural habitat for a low cost (or no cost)? i don't mind
taking risks if it saves money. if it can be arranged with a cruise
that's a plus.

i'm trying to book a cruise for me and my girlfriend that will allow
us to swim with dolphins, but not paying to swim with them, just if we
see them we can jump in and swim with them. -- i'm not even sure if
what i'm asking makes sense, after all it is midnight after several
days of sleep deprivation.

feel free to email me with the answer, or i'll keep checking the
google posts.

You can't just jump into the water from a cruise ship. Get some sleep.

Believe it or not there is a beach in Australia where the dolphins swim in
very close to shore and play with the swimmers. You should be able to look
this up on the Internet. It has been shown on television before.

Those "dolphins" are called sharks, and it doesn't work out so well for the
surfers, who are also called "shark food".

Yeah but it works out great for the sharks.

At the Little Bahama Banks you can swim with the pods of Spotted
Dolphins for free, but you'll need to figure out how to get there for
free.

Sue ---has done it but it cost more than 2 cruises

Dolphins are wild animals. They most likely are going to aviod you. The
ones that you pay to swim with have been captured and have to swim with
you in order to eat.

Actually no... dolphins are curious animals and have no natural fear of
man. HOWEVER, they ARE wild animals with minds of their own. They also
have no idea how much or how little stamina a human in the water may
have. Just because YOU grow tired of playing with them doesn't mean
THEY'RE tired of playing with you. They can inadvertantly keep you away
from your boat long enough that you'll tire and drown. That's why most
reputable places that allow you to swim with a dolphin do it under the
STRICTEST supervision!
