Default Japanese teardrop-shaped good luck charm?

I was just in Inuyama (in Aichi) in Japan, and found somewhere on the
internet that the teardrop-shaped good luck charms were local to the region
so bought a few at the castle souvenir shop to take home.

Now for the life of me I cannot find that website again which had some
details about these things.

Does anyone know what I am talking about?
