Default tulip trees?

I've seen these "tulip trees" in both Hawaii and Mexico in the winter
months. They have orange upright tulip-like flowers above the leaf
canopy. Searching the net for tulip trees brings up a U.S. tree with
yellow flowers related to the magnolia family. These are much different
than the Mexican/Hawaiian tree. Can any one help with a name or genus
for this tropical version?
