Hotels in Tegucigalpa, Honduras
I will be traveling to Tegucigalpa, Honduras next month and have narrowed my hotels to Hotel Honduras Maya or Aparthotel Guijarros. Since they both offer suites with a kitchen and are similarly priced I was wondering if anyone had been to either of these places and can offer any comments or suggestions. Thanks in advance, Sy . -- Please post and reply to |

Travelling is all about choices-hopefully by the end of your trip you will have grown up some and will have learned to make up your own mind. I'm not familier with the Guijarros but the Maya used to be the best
hotel in Honduras and is still one of the top five. However if you haven't already, consider Minister Suites http://www.ministersuites.com/ Newer, same amenities and some the Maya doesn't have. At only $80/day it is quite affordable too. Ron In article , wrote: I will be traveling to Tegucigalpa, Honduras next month and have narrowed my hotels to Hotel Honduras Maya or Aparthotel Guijarros. [[ This message was both posted and mailed: see
the "To," "Cc," and "Newsgroups" headers for details. ]] Hi Ron, I am aware of those places but from what I can tell, Minister Suites has no pool which for me is a must. Was wondering what the area around the Hotel Maya is like and whether it's close to stores etc.. Any idea? Having lived in Tegus for a number of years The Hotel Maya is the best, service location is number 1, they also have a nice casino. Enjoy |

It is in a decent location (although the hookers can be rather aggresive after dark) and close to shops. But if you need anything further away, just take a cab - $5 will get you most anyplace. |
