Default Disnsey, Universal Studio and Hollywood in 1 night plus 2 days aroundNew Year

Planning to arrive L.A. on the evening of New Years Eve and leave on
the afternoon of Jan 3rd.

- where is a good place to celebrate New Year in L.A.? or may be in
Hollywood? But if it's Hollywood, is there public transportation to
take us back to L.A. downtown?

- is there public transportation to get to Hollywood from downtown
L.A.?

- we've been to both Universal Studio and Disney in Florida, is it
still worth to go to both in L.A.? Or just one of them?

- how to take public transportation to go to Disney? Universal Studio
also.

- since we're coming from San Francisco, is it better to stay there
comparing to L.A./Hollywood?

Thanks,
Jimmy

You may want to try the LA Metro's web site:
http://www.metro.net/news_info/press/metro_213.htm.

Personally I'd be careful taking public transport to downtown at night.

Public transportation is bad in that area. There is no way you will have
enough time to do what you want in three days without renting a car.

Rent a car. If I were you, I would go to ONE park and see it well. With
your itinerary, you are doing a marathon, not a vacation. Which park to
visit is entirely a matter of personal preference; they all have their
unique features. Do a web search and you'll find tons of information on
the different amusement parks and movie studios in California.

There are many similarities between Disneyland and Disney World. Lots
of fans enjoy visiting both, but expect to see a lot of the same
things. There are some Disney newsgroups you could try for more info.
