Default Chicago

Hi,

I`m traveling to Chicago next Saturday for a biz trip.Ill have some time to
wonder around. Could you recommend me some good blues/jazz clubs, preferably
around Drake hotel? What is a "must" to visit? I now it is a big city with
lot of attractions, but the time is short and I would like some guidelines.
Any big events in late September? Other recommendations?

Thanks,
z.

High recommendations to Andy's, on Hubbard Street just east of State.

There's also the House of Blues, at Marina City, 300 North State, just a
block from Andy's. HoB, of course, is a much more commercial chain
operation.

Both places are about a mile from the Drake.

Seconded. Also, catch the subway up to the Green Mill at Lawrence and
Broadway.

The HOB is a fine concert club if a big name is on, but for a local band,
you're better off going to any of the nearby Blue Chicago locations.
