Chicago
Hi,
I`m traveling to Chicago next Saturday for a biz trip.Ill have some time to wonder around. Could you recommend me some good blues/jazz clubs, preferably around Drake hotel? What is a "must" to visit? I now it is a big city with lot of attractions, but the time is short and I would like some guidelines. Any big events in late September? Other recommendations? Thanks, z. |

HoB, of course, is a much more commercial chain operation. Both places are about a mile from the Drake. Alan Follett Hercules, CA |

Also, catch the subway up to the Green Mill at Lawrence and Broadway. There's also the House of Blues, at Marina City, 300 North State, just a block from Andy's. HoB, of course, is a much more commercial chain operation. The HOB is a fine concert club if a big name is on, but for a local band, you're better off going to any of the nearby Blue Chicago locations. -- --- "Wake Up, Everybody."--McFadden/Whitehead/Carstarphen RIP John Whitehead 1948-2004 |
